CAD: Where are you from?

SLUGZZ: Texana Rd. Murphy, North Carolina

CAD: What does "Carolina All Day" mean to you?

SLUGZZ: I rep the Cacky everyday! I'm proud to be a country boy. To me it means rememberin' my roots all day every day.

CAD: Who were your early musical influences?

SLUGZZ: Well mostly DJ Screw, but I was influenced by old No Limit, Brotha Lynch Hung, NWA, 3-6, man it's too many to name. Even Metallika, Megadeth and Iron Maiden. I'have a different musical background than most rap/hip hop artists cause i was a lead guitarist before I even rapped.

CAD: What separates Slugzz from other artists?

SLUGZZ: I'm an enhancer, I do music but I also do these mixes kinda like Screw. I help other artists get there music out to a different fan base with my free downloadable "Slow Series" tapes. I have 5 out and 2 more droppin in a few days from now. I even appear on the tapes every now and then. I started this cause I was gettin' iffy about my dreams of music so I wanted to just help others out, but apparently my tapes have gotten some attetion brought to me.

CAD: For the people that don't know, you rap and make beats. Which one do you prefer?

SLUGZZ: I do prefer production more, I have always enjoyed "creating" music. I can sit around all day drinkin' 40's comin' up with words, but I get my satisfaction from gettin' lost in my music. I'm always noddin' my head and it's funny sometimes cause people catch me doin' it, but I'm just thinkin' of a beat.

CAD: How has learning to play multiple instruments helped you on the production side?

SLUGZZ: haha, lets see.... rythym, timing, keys, measures, notes, half-steps, double-time, I use it all in my rap music too. Not so much as I want to but that'll be a new project once I get in THAT mode.

CAD: What is your advice for young artists in the Carolinas?

SLUGZZ: Keep pushin' even when you in jail with no bail money, and $0 on your books. You are an artist and we don't get appreciated till we're dead anyways. The more you overcome now will leave you less stress to deal with later. NEVER give up!

CAD: Your top 3 artists in the game right now?

SLUGZZ: maaaan, lol I been so bizzy with us i haven't even really peeped what's hot as of now, but I know Flocka killin' it, Gucci killin' it and O.J. Da Juiceman killin' it.

CAD: What projects are you currently working on?

SLUGZZ: "Cigarillo Gutz" and "Doses" commin' at yall VERY soon but yall can go ahead and grab the previous 5 tapes on www.datpif.com and search Slugzz, the acount is free and the tapes are too.

CAD: How can people keep up with you online?

SLUGZZ: Facebook me people, "slugzz sop", I don't tweet cause I'm usually in the Slice Shack choppin tapes. I post what I'm doin' on my facebook and I post the mixtapes on there too.
