CAD: Where are the members of StateHouse Records from?

SH: Juve: From Columbia, SC
A-Butta: Brooklyn, NY
Jslay: Florence, SC
CAD: What was the inspiration behind your hit "Crank Dat Roy?"

SH: The Dance came from a man named ELROY from Orangeburg, SC. We made a song to the dance and thats how "Crank Dat Roy" got started!

CAD: Do you feel the Carolinas have what it takes to be the next powerhouse in the hip-hop industry?

SH: Hell yea!! The Carolinas are flooded with talent right now! All we have to do is stick together, support our own, grind and we will be a powerhouse!

CAD: How did you the minute you signed with Grand Hustle Records?

SH: When we signed to Grand Hustle we were very excited. We all agreed that this is a major highlight of our lives. We want to give a big shout to 102 jamz, Greensboro, NC! Also Big Shout out to Waleed, Big Mo and Dj J-Flex



CAD: What is your advice to other Carolinas artists trying to get the attention of major labels?

SH: Our advice is GRIND! GRIND! GRIND! Also use the internet, its a great low coast but affective tool! Make sure that you network and build relationships. Never forget the people that helped you and stay true to you!

CAD: How did you hook up with DJ Chuck T for your Mixtape "Brand New?"

SH: We did a show wit DJ Chuck T. We chopped it up and went from there! Chuck T what up homie!

CAD: What projects are you currently working on?

SH: We are working on are next mixtape hosted by DJ smallz. The new tracks are straight high energy tracks. We have also developed a new sound that we feel people will connect to!
